Online conference "Potentiate infusion therapy: the tandem of anesthesiologist and surgeon in the treatment of surgical infections"

Administration of infusion therapy in the perioperative period is one of the most controversial topics in anesthesiology and surgery. First of all, it concerns the safe support of the vital functions of the body and the speed of the patient's recovery.

There is a widespread opinion that only an anesthesiologist should be involved in volemic support, but to what extent does this statement correspond to an effective model of patient management in the perioperative period? There are opinions and myths, and there are facts, international studies and local protocols that confirm or refute them. So, we invite you to a conference dedicated to the role of infusion therapy in the treatment of surgical infections and the participation of an anesthesiologist and surgeon in it.

📌 On June 21th was held the conference "Potentiate infusion therapy: the tandem of anesthesiologist and surgeon in the treatment of surgical infections".

Almost 2 800 health care specialists have registered to participate in the Teleconference.

Within the framework of the event, leading specialists and practitioners in the field of anesthesiology and surgery shared their expert opinions and experience in managing patients with purulent-inflammatory diseases.

Particular attention was paid to infusion therapy in the treatment of surgical infections. The urgency of the problem of surgical infections is associated with their high frequency and duration of treatment.

Various methods of surgical intervention, modern antibacterial therapy made it possible to achieve positive results in the treatment of purulent-inflammatory diseases, but the final results of treatment still cannot be considered satisfactory.

4 reports were offered to the participants for review and they were dealing with the following issues:
